Refunds and your consumer rights
Version 2026-10-31. This policy applies to course access bought on Aurum Learn from Aurum Foundation Limited (ABN 39 680 160 570).
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If a course has a major problem, you can cancel and get a refund for the part you have not received. If the problem is minor, we will fix it, and if we cannot fix it within a reasonable time you can ask for a refund. Nothing in this policy limits those rights.
Changing your mind
- You can cancel within 14 days of purchase for a full refund, as long as you have not completed a module of the course you bought.
- For a three course purchase, the full refund applies if you have not completed a module in any of the three courses.
- For a co branded workspace, the full refund applies within 14 days if no learner has been invited to it.
- Facilitated training and Delivery Licences follow the cancellation terms in your written quote.
How to ask for a refund
Email hello@aurum.org.au with the email address you used and your receipt number. We reply within two business days. Refunds go back to the card you paid with, through Stripe; your bank may take a few more days to show it.
What happens after a refund
Access to the refunded course ends. A record of completion that was already issued stays on your record, because it shows learning you completed.
Payments are not donations
Aurum Foundation Limited is a registered charity with deductible gift recipient status. A course fee is a payment for training, not a gift, so it is not tax deductible as a gift. Donations to Aurum are made separately and are never part of a course purchase.
Tax invoices
Aurum Foundation Limited is registered for GST. Every purchase comes with a tax invoice showing our name and ABN, the date, what you bought and the GST included. For purchases of $1,000 or more the invoice also shows the buyer's organisation name or ABN, which we ask for at checkout.
